The Employee of the Year Award recognizes an employee who has made a significant contribution and/or positive impact on the company they work for. The recipient of the award must have been employed for the past six months by a VICA Member company in good standing. Nominees should: • Have outstanding performance, superior dedication, and a positive attitude on the job. • Seen as a role model within their company who works continuously to improve the construction industry. • Recognized by industry peers as a leader within their area of expertise. • Has demonstrated their commitment to mentoring the next generation of the construction workforce

The Safety Excellence Awards are designed to honour those contractors who have maintained a superior safety record during the year leading up to submission. The Safety Award will be based on a contractor's claims experience record with the Workers' Compensation Board.

By submitting this application, you authorize the Workers' Compensation Board to release the required information pertaining to our Claims Experience record to the Vancouver Island Construction Association for the purpose of establishing our ranking for the Safety Award. Supplier of the Year
Description
The Supplier of the Year Award recognizes a VICA Member company for their overall excellence as a manufacturer/supplier on Vancouver Island. This award is presented to an active supplier who has shown outstanding skill in their craft, exceeded customer expectations with first-rate products and services, and is a leader in introducing innovative products and technologies to the construction sector. The company should be able to demonstrate instances where they have gone above and beyond for their customers, identify what products and services they offer and how they're unique to Vancouver Island, as well as any additional accolades that complement their business.

The U40 Person of the Year Award recognizes an individual, under the age of 40, who has demonstrated industry leadership and is committed to the advancement of the construction sector. He or she will be someone who has made a significant impact or contribution to the workplace and/or a project; and to the community through volunteer work and/or business accomplishments.
